POLICE REPORTS

The following items were gathered from various police departments:

1:30 a.m. Nov. 16 — Christopher McCune, 23, of Trafford, Allegheny County, was charged with driving under the influence after police stopped him for a traffic violation on Franklin Road in Slippery Rock Township.

10:59 p.m. Nov. 1 — Zachary H. Baird, 25, of Canonsburg, Washington County, lost control of his car while driving on Fisher Road and crashed into a creek bed. The car had to be towed, and Baird is suspected to have sustained minor injuries. He was not transported to a medical facility.

9:38 p.m. Nov. 1 — A 16-year-old boy was speeding in a car on Evans City Road in Connoquenessing Township and struck multiple items before stopping in the yard of C.K. Steckman Memorials. The driver was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

5:51 p.m. Oct. 31 — Dusty Howe, 28, of Parker was charged with harassment using threatening language after his downstairs neighbor lodged a noise complaint against Howe, police said. Howe allegedly went to the neighbor's door, kicked it, shouted racial slurs and told his neighbor to come outside and fight.

5:39 p.m. Oct. 30 — Patricia Singleton, 76, of Butler was charged with harassment after she allegedly sent her 32-year-old daughter a derogatory text message about the daughter's boyfriend.

7:15 a.m. Oct. 16 — Candy J. France, 48, of Butler Portersville Road was driving west on Portersville Road when she tried to cross oncoming traffic to get onto Interstate 79. She drove in front of a car going east being driven by Lauren Nussbaumer, 28, of Fombell, resulting in the two crashing head on. A third car hit Nussbaumer's car on the right side. The two cars in the head-on collision had to be towed away. No injuries were reported.

Nov. 18 10:43 a.m. — Clint Nagle, 35, of Butler allegedly attempted to smuggle suboxone strips into SCI-Mercer. Nagle is an inmate with SCI-Mercer.Nov. 13 3:20 a.m. — Nicholas J. Weber, 20, of Butler was driving too fast while navigating a left curve on Evans City Road when his car veered off the road and hit two unoccupied cars that were legally parked. No injuries were reported.7:10 p.m. Nov. 12 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jennifer R. Grooms, 47, of Slippery Rock was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of Old Mercer and Leesburg Grove City roads in Springfield Township. Ethan W. Bobic, 21, of New Castle was the other driver. No one was injured, but at least one of the vehicles had to be towed.

7:52 a.m. Nov. 8 — Chad M. Lewis, 20, of Portersville lost control of his car and slid into two other vehicles on Route 488 near Hickernell Road in Wayne Township, Lawrence County. Lewis and the other drivers — Erica M. Marshall, 29, of New Castle, and Rae A. Zwick, 55, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County — were not injured.Zwick’s vehicle had to be towed. Police cited Lewis for driving too fast for conditions.
