BUTLER TWP — Madyson McAninch had 26 digs, Morgan Malinski 23 assists and Abby Kopac eight kills as the Butler County Community College women’s volleyball team won its second consecutive Region XX championship Saturday.

Makenzie McDowell added 24 digs and seven kills as the Pioneers (18-3) defeated CCAC 25-16, 25-11, 25-14 at the BC3 Field House.

Kopac, a sophomore from Knoch, was named tourney MVP. Sophomore Kaylee Ebbert from Mars and Freeport graduate McAninch made the all-tournament team.

The Pioneers travel to Pinehurst, N.C., for the District G Championships Friday.
