BC3 volleyball wins 5th straight crown
BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Community College women’s volleyball team won its fifth consecutive Western Pa. Collegiate Conference championship Saturday, defeating CCAC-Boyce 25-13, 25-14, 25-17.
Pioneers coach Rob Snyder was selected WPCC Coach of the Year for the 10th time. He is 392-151 in 21 years at BC3.
Slippery Rock graduate Morgan Malinski had 30 assists while Freeport graduate Madyson McAninch had 27 digs. She led all players in NJCAA Div. III with 7.44 digs per set this season.
Knoch graduate Makenzie McDowell had 10 kills and Knoch grad Abby Kopac had nine. McAninch, Kopac, McDowell and Mars grad Kaylee Ebbert were selected to the All-WPCC team.
BC3 (16-3) plays in the Region XX tourney at 6 p.m. Friday at the BC3 Field House.
