POLICE REPORTS
5 p.m. Oct. 14 — A car driven by Rodger Shelatree Sr., 54, of Butler rear-ended a car being driven by Stephen Fedosick, 68, of Butler on Route 68 and South Duffy Road. Fedosick's car was stopped in the eastbound lane at a red light. Shelatree came speeding up behind, hitting the other car, police said. Fedosick reported neck injuries and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.
2:30 p.m. Oct. 14 — Police responded to a man screaming in a parking lot at Tanglewood Center. There, they found Bryan Leonard, 35, of Butler allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance. Police said they found stamp bags on him and drug paraphernalia and charged him with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
9 a.m. Oct. 14 — While driving on Route 8, Jaela Yohe, 19, of Butler turned left onto Decatur Drive in front of another car being driven by Margo Barr, 44, of Butler. Barr hit Yohe's vehicle and both cars had to be towed. Barr had a face injury and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, police said. Yohe was cited for making the left turn.
5:31 p.m. Oct. 11 — Police charged Lois Daniels, 28, of Butler with possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass after she was found inside the Walmart in Butler Commons, where she wasn't permitted.
5 p.m. Oct. 11 — Arthur Schaffer, 30, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and defiant trespass after Schaffer was allegedly seen in the Butler Commons Walmart, which he was previously barred from entering.
4:53 p.m. Oct. 11 — Police responded to an accident on New Castle and North Duffy Roads and said Holly Turner, 40, of Evans City had failed to stop at a red signal at the intersection. She struck another car being driven by Linda McLean, 66, of Grove City. No injuries were reported and the two vehicles were removed from the roadway.
10:11 p.m. Oct. 9 — Police responded to an accident on Route near Evans Road and said Marissa Nichter, 18, of Butler rear-ended Aaron Lego, 43, of Volant, Lawrence County. Police said Nichter was distracted from driving and didn't see Lego's vehicle. No injuries were reported, but Nichter's car was disabled.
10 p.m. Oct. 13 — Someone stole a cystic fibrosis donation jar at the Kwik Fill in Butler. Police didn't detail the amount stolen.11:40 p.m. Oct. 12 — A 35-year-old from Claridge, Westmoreland County, was charged with driving under the influence. Police didn't provide the driver's name.
11:01 p.m. Oct. 9 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Nicole A. Baur, 36, of Evans City struck a deer on Route 488 just west of Armstrong Road in Perry Township. Baur was not injured, but her vehicle had to be towed.
