KC boys finish at 17-1

Dakota King scored a pair of goals Monday as Karns City's boys soccer team concluded the regular season with a 4-1 win over Harbor Creek at Diehl Stadium.

Owen Collwell added a goal and assist for the Gremlins (17-1). Nate Rondinelli tallied the team's iother goal.

Malik Metcalfe made five saves in goal for KC.

Slippery Rock 9, Mercer 0 — Ryan Davey scored three times and Ian Balquist twice in Slippery Rock's 9-0 victory over visiting Mercer on Tuesday.

Also scoring for the Rockets (15-3) were Kaleb Kuhn, Colton Callen, Riley Lewis and Cullen Birkes.

Seven different players scored for Butler as the Golden Tornado concluded the regular season with a 7-0 win over Penn-Trafford.Chloe Weiland, McKenna Robinson, Sam Miller, Emily Fleeger, Maci Lineman, Jessica Mohney and Gabby Boden scored for Butler (17-4).Mariah Geibel had the shutout in goal.Freeport 10, Armstrong 0 — All four seniors scored for the Yellowjackets on Senior Night. Sidney Shemanski scored three goals, Kylie Hoffman and Emma Miller two each, Maddie Miller one.Akina Boynton and Emma Check also scored goals for Freeport. Maddy Zarichnak recorded two saves for the shutout.The Yellowjackets finished the regular season 14-4.

Butler sophomore Paige Scott carded an 83 and tied for seventh place at the girls' Western Regional Tuesday at Tom's Run Golf Course in Blairsville.

Knoch's WPIAL team championship match with Sewickley Academy, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at North Allegheny, was postponed by rain.The match has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at the Oxford Athletic Club in Wexford.
