POLICE REPORTS
Aug. 20 — A 53-year-old Slippery Rock man reported that a Verizon account had been created using his identity.
Sept. 1 — Tyler Smith, 29, of Pittsburgh was charged with speeding related to a two-vehicle crash on I-70 southbound in Cranberry Township.
Smith was in the left lane when he lost control of his 2017 Nissan Maxima, hydroplaned and struck the guard rail on the left side of the road.
After hitting the guardrail, the Nissan spun into traffic and hit a 2014 Toyota Tundra driven by Christopher Sobel, 66, of Gibsonia.
The Nissan was disabled from the crash, and the Toyota sustained minor damage.
Both men reported they were uninjured.
Sept. 21 — A resident of Autumn Grove Nursing Home in Harrisville reported 4 diluted narcotic pills had gone missing from the medical cabinet at the nursing home by an unknown employee.
The value of a single dose is about $10, according to police.
Oct. 2 — While stopped in her vehicle, a 55-year-old Butler woman was struck multiple times by an unnamed driver on North Noah Drive in Clinton Township.
7:44 p.m. Oct. 8 — Randy Risinger, 32, of Parker crashed his vehicle into a CenturyLink utility pole on Kittanning Pike in Parker Township.
Risinger lost control of his 2005 Jeep Liberty due to the front steering axle, according to the report.
Risinger was taken by Emlenton EMS to Butler Memorial Hospital for a suspected minor injury to the head.
Jeep sustained moderate front-end damage, and the utility pole was nearly sheared off.
Saturday — A 59-year-old Cabot man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
The man had been driving his 2004 Chevrolet Camaro along Great Belt and Becker Road in Jefferson Township, when police stopped him, according to the police report.
11:45 a.m., Saturday — David Lippert, 35, of Claridge, Pa., was charged with driving under the influence after he overturned his 1991 Mazda RX7 on West Sunbury Road in Cherry Township, according to the report.
Lippert was not injured.
1:53 p.m. Sunday — A teenage girl was struck by a side mirror of a pickup truck as it passed by.
The 17-year-old girl from Pittsburgh was walking along New Castle Road, when she walked into the lane, according to the report.
Police said the mirror on a Ford F-150 XLT, driven by Robert Williams, 45, of Monaca, struck the girl in the head, resulting in minor injuries.
9:24 p.m., Saturday — Jasmine Whitley, 30, of Butler crashed her vehicle after swerving to avoid a deer along East Butler Road in Summit Township, according to the report.
In a 2008 Saturn Vue, Whitley went off the north side of the road and struck two trees and a concrete block, before the vehicle stopped.
Whitley did not report an injury.
