Griffin gets win at Houston Open
HUMBLE, Texas — Lanto Griffin took the lead with a 35-foot birdie putt on the 16th hole and won the Houston Open on Sunday with a 6-foot par on the final hole that gave him a 3-under 69 and a one-shot victory that sends him to the Masters.
Griffin was locked into a battle on the back nine with Mark Hubbard and Scott Harrington. None of the three had won on the PGA Tour.
