Glade Run Adventures cuts ribbon on upgrades
Glade Run Adventures held a ribbon cutting Thursday for upgrades to its two equine arenas in Zelienople that were made possible by the Leadership Butler County Class of 2019.
The project involved replacing the subbase and mats in the stalls and the dirt and sand surface in the riding areas.
Steven Green, Glade Run Adventures' president and CEO, said the leadership class raised about $30,000 for the project through events such as a mystery dinner and sold sponsorships to various corporations and businesses in Butler.
“They replaced all the footings in our indoor and outdoor arena,” he said. “They did painting, cleaning, putting down new floors.” Glade Run Adventures' equine therapy program serves families who have children with special needs.

They were getting injured on the old arena footing. It will allow us to use it more often and be able to serve more kids and families.”The Butler County Chamber of Commerce was the program's fiduciary.
