Vehicle goes off bridge in Cranberry Township

The call for a vehicle over a bridge came over emergency dispatch around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

CRANBERRY TWP — A driver was transported for evaluation by emergency personnel Thursday after his vehicle went off Franklin Road at Steven M. Krochta Memorial Bridge.

The call for a vehicle over a bridge came over emergency dispatch around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to Sgt. William Ahlgren, of Cranberry Police Department, the driver got out of the vehicle after the accident and walked up to Franklin Road where he was spotted by motorists who called 911.

Ahlgren said the reason the driver went off the road is unknown.
