POLICE REPORTS

The following items have been gathered from various police departments:

5:47 p.m. Sept. 30 — A car being driven by Robert S. Chappo, 44, of Pittsburgh struck another car in the rear being driven by Melissa A. Conrad, 52, of Pittsburgh. The accident occurred on SR 8001 in Cranberry Township during heavy traffic. No injuries were reported. Chappo was cited for careless driving.

5:59 p.m. Sept. 29 — A 16-year-old boy was driving an ATV south on Gilmore Road in Marion Township. While following another vehicle, the dust being kicked up in the road caused him to lose sight of the road and he overcorrected, sending the ATV rolling over. He sustained minor injuries and the ATV was substantially damaged.

11:37 p.m. Sept. 28 — David P. McDonald, 35, of Butler was driving east on Euclid Road when he encountered a couple of deer on the road. He swerved to avoid the deer and hit an embankment on the left side, flipping his car over once before stopping. Police suspect he suffered minor injuries, but he wasn't transported to a medical facility.

8:45 a.m. Sept. 27 — Richard M. Lane, 50, of Pittsburgh was driving north on I-79 when the left rear tire of the car fell off. Lane's car rolled across the median and struck a car on the southbound side. No injuries were reported.

2:51 p.m. Sept. 20 — A 31-year-old woman from Butler was charged with theft after allegedly stealing $340 from Starlight Drive-in in Center Township.

Three Grove City High School students were charged with institutional vandalism, possession of an instrument of crime and criminal conspiracy. Police charged a 16-year-old boy from Grove City, a 17-year-old girl from New Castle and a 17-year-old boy from Grove City after a video was discovered on Sept. 12 that allegedly showed the teenagers spray painting a wall in early August.
