SRU playing host to Special Olympics
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University will host the Special Olympics Pa. Western Fall Sectional from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
More than 400 Special Olympians and 200 coaches will be taking part in the event. They will compete in bocce, long-distance walking/running, powerlifting, soccer and volleyball.
Opening ceremonies are at 9:15 a.m. in the Aebersold Recreation Center.
