Amanda Lewis scored four goals Wednesday night as the Slippery Rock girls soccer team shut out Conneaut (Ohio), 6-0.

Isabelle Willison and Kayla Daugherty also scored for the Rockets.

Slippery Rock returns to action with a home game at 2 p.m. Saturday against Freeport.

Both teams are undefeated on the young season.

Freeport 5, Valley 0 — Sidney Shemanski scored three goals as the Yellowjackets rolled.

Crystal Zembrzuski and Kylie Hoffman also scored for Freeport (3-0).

Isabella Gaydosh of Mars beat Lexi Chappel of Butler, 10-3, in the second round of the WPIAL section singles tournament.Chappel beat Gabby Miller of Hampton in the first round, 10-6, before falling to Gaydosh.

Riley Lewis scored 16 minutes into the second half to tie the score 1-1, but Slippery Rock fell in double overtime to General McLane, 2-1.The Rockets fell to 0-3.
