POLICE REPORT
1:52 a.m. Saturday — Troopers stopped the 2011 Nissan Rogue driven by Francesca Baldini, 22, of Gibsonia for numerous summary traffic violations on Franklin Street in Slippery Rock. Baldini was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and was charged.
10:57 a.m. Saturday — An Ellwood City man wanted for vehicle theft led troopers on a chase that began in Butler County and ended in New Castle. Troopers said in a report that the motorcycle driven by Brooks Robinson, 27, was spotted just inside Butler County.
When police stopped him, he took off, leading police through five townships in Lawrence County before bailing off the bike in New Castle, the report said.
Robinson was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. He faces six misdemeanor charges, including flight to avoid apprehension, drug possession and DUI. Police also charged him with eight traffic violations, including speeding in excess of 100 mph, driving without a license, and passing in a no-passing zone.
