Bednar unscathed with NL's Padres
SAN DIEGO — Mars graduate David Bednar pitched another scoreless inning Sunday for the San Diego Padres, striking out two in his team’s 2-1 win over Colorado.
Bednar has pitched 3.1 innings in four games with the Padres since being called up Sept. 1. He has five strikeouts, one walk and has yet to allow a run.
