BREAKING: Jessica Royall found not guilty of homicide

Jessica Royall
Found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and other charges

Jessica Royall has been found not guilty of homicide in the death of her boyfriend in 2018.

After three days of trial, a jury Friday found Royall not guilty of homicide and other major charges in relation to the death of Ryan Minnett in March 2018.

Royall was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment, and other minor charges.

In original reports Cranberry Township police say Royall and her boyfriend Minett allegedly got into an argument at their home, and Royall left the home to pick up her children.

According to police, Minett jumped on her Buick Rendezvous. Minett clung to a luggage rack on the rear driver's side of the vehicle as Royall drove for a half-mile.

He fell off, rolled more than 50 feet and struck a light pole near the intersection of Cross Creek Drive and Little Pine Road. Investigators said he suffered injuries resulting in his death the next day.

Royall is being held for sentencing on Oct. 15.
