PITTSBURGH — The Smithsonian-affiliated Senator John Heinz History Center will conclude its Vietnam War Speaker Series at 7 p.m. Sept. 5 with author Lan Cao, who will discuss the conflict's lasting effects on the people of Vietnam.Cao, a professor of international economic law at Chapman University, is the author of the novels “Monkey Bridge” (1997) and “The Lotus and the Storm” (2014).Admission to this program is $20 per person. GREENSBURG — Three Butler County residents are scheduled to participate in the 26th annual Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts Labor Day Festival at the Westmoreland County Fairgrounds.Featured will be Carol Fleming and Lisa Tracy, both of Butler, and William Adam of Sarver.The festival takes place Friday through Monday.
