1:49 a.m. Sunday — Jonathan M. Fusaro Podobensky, 27, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at his home on Carnegie Street.
The victim told police that Fusaro Podobensky pushed her to the ground and later punched her in the back of the head, according to court documents.
The defendant fled the scene, but he was later arrested. He was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and released on non-monetary bail.
2:39 p.m. Tuesday — A Butler teenager was injured when she lost control of her sport utility vehicle and crashed on the 200 block of Butler Road near Ferguson Avenue. The vehicle ended on its side.The driver, Emma Stewart, 17, suffered a minor injury that did not require medical treatment, according to a police report. The wreck closed the road for an hour. The vehicle had to be towed.2:37 p.m. Monday — Jane Page, 85, of Valencia was injured in a one-vehicle wreck on the Route 422 on-ramp. She was a passenger in an SUV driven by Thomas Page, 85, of Valencia.The vehicle struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof. Police said Jane Page was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
1:59 a.m. Sunday — Lydia S. Young, 18, of Butler was arrested for drunken driving after she went off the road while turning onto South Main Street. Police stopped the car after it returned to the road and then crossed the double yellow lines.Young told police that she had “two drinks and two shots” before driving, according to court documents. She allegedly failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the state police barracks in Butler Township for a breath test.Her blood-alcohol level was allegedly found to be 0.094 percent. In Pennsylvania, drivers under 21 are considered intoxicated with a blood-alcohol level of 0.02 percent or higher. The legal limit for adult drivers is 0.08 percent.Young is charged with driving under the influence, DUI by a minor, and careless driving.
5:30 p.m. July 18 — A New Castle woman allegedly removed her shorts, exposing her genital area, at Moraine State Park's Pleasant Valley Beach.The defendant, Cassie M. Lutz, 24, is charged with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.An officer for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources found Lutz after a 911 caller reported a woman exposing herself while donning swim bottoms, according to court documents.
Friday — Police said they are investigating an alleged sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl on Whitmire Road in Oakland Township. The crime was reported in July.According to a police report, the accused is a 17-year-old West Sunbury boy who allegedly assaulted the girl four times.No other information was released and police said their investigation continues.July 10 — An Allegheny County man was charged with taking a tire balancing machine that belonged to the Clinton United Presbyterian Church on Glade Mill Road in Clinton Township.Ronald Matthew Lamping, 30, of Allison Park is accused of selling the property for $400 in April and keeping the money. He is charged with theft by failing to make required disposition of funds received.
