ERIE — Slippery Rock High School graduate Barbie Cessar, a member of the Penn State Behrend women’s water polo team, has been named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches’ All-Academic team.

Cessar earned Outstanding honors by posting a grade point average between 3.71 and 4.0. An athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.2 at the end of the year to be named All-Academic.

Cessar had two goals and five assists in 15 games played this season.
