PSAC sets record for scholar-athletes
LOCK HAVEN — The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference set a record in number of scholar-athletes in an academic year with 3,117 in 2018-18.
A student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.25 grade point average at the end of the school year to achieve this status.
Slippery Rock University had 204 scholar-athletes, including Butler County area hjgh school graduates Emily Horstman, Jay Cortese, Tim Vernick, Josh Rader and Andrew Maxwell.
