19years ago today,

July 10th.

Another year has passed, but it never gets easier.

You gave me so many things in my life,

Both big and small

But most of all, you gave me the best mother anyone could ever ask for.

No longer in my life, but in my heart

And if I could turn back the clock,

That is exactly what I would do

So that I could learn more from you

And become even half of the mother you were.

They say that when you see a cardinal,

An Angel is near, something I never believed in….

Until this past weekend when a cardinal appeared at my kitchen window.

He started “knocking” on the window until I heard him

When I got up and looked, he flew away.

I have been struggling a little lately

And I truly believe that it was you,

Trying to tell me that

everything will be ok

And that you were looking out for me.

I miss you Mom
