Butler golfer takes home Pittsburgh Open title
Butler resident Rob McClellan won the prestigious Pittsburgh Open golf tournament Tuesday at the Sewickley Heights Golf Club. He shot a 1-under par 141 for the 36-hole stroke play tournament.
McClellan was the only golfer in the field to finish under par. Gene Walter of Wexford finished second, three strokes behind.
Butler Country Club member and Gibsonia resident Robert Stoops led the tourney after 18 holes and wound up with a 146, five strokes back. He tied with Anthony Muscato of Gibsonia for best amateur score.
