Butler Township plated five runs on five hits in the seventh inning to break a tie with Karns City en route to an 8-3 win Saturday in Butler County Area Baseball League action.

Kevin King tossed three scoreless innings to earn the win.

Jake Weckerly hit a solo home run for Karns City.

Freeport’s Jarrett Heilman and Joe Hotalski combined to allow just two runs and struck out nine over seven innings in a 6-2 win over Butler Township on Friday.

Matt Grove had a two-run double in the victory.

For BT, Josh Grigoletti went 2-for-4 and scored two runs.
