BUFFALO TWP — Persistent rain in the area this week has forced cancellation of Thursday’s portion of the 13th annual Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway.

The event will now begin Friday night with a 30-lap World Of Outlaws Late Model feature paying $6,000 to win. Gates open at 5 p.m.

Gates open at 4 p.m. Saturday for the race program that features the Uncle Sam 30, Firecracker 100 main event — a 100-lap race paying $30,000 to win — and the RUSH Crate Late Models’ Bill Emig Memorial, a 50-lap race paying $10,000 to win.

Fans with tickets to Thursday’s show may redeem them for a future World of Outlaws event at Lernerville. They have until July 19 to request a refund.
