Butler Church of the Nazarene

Concord PRESBYTERIAN

Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, West Sunbury, will host combined 9:30 a.m. Sunday worship services with the North Washington Church during June.

There will be a Christian education and vacation Bible school meeting at 6 p.m. Friday at Concord Church.

Covenant PRESBYTERIAN

Music for the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will be provided by vocalist and trombonist Nathan Turley, a Slippery Rock University music student.

Faith UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., has the Rev. Deborah Crusan leading the Sunday worship service.

The deacons will recognize members of the congregation for their service to the church.

After the service, the deacons have planned a chicken and biscuit luncheon.

The AA Group meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday,

WW meets at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. June 6 and at 8:30 a.m. June 8.

First English Lutheran

There will be no 10:30 a.m. Bible study Thursday, June 6 and June 13 at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St.

The Sunday worship service is at 10 a.m.

The Good Samaritan Flower Pot will be at the back of the sanctuary for donations to the needy.

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., celebrates Holy Communion at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Setup for the Treasure Hunter’s Sale will begin following worship Sunday. All youths are invited to help, and lunch will be served.

Butler Relay for Life will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the church.

Setup will continue for the Treasure Hunter’s Sale from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Wednesday. Bake sale items should be dropped off at the church Wednesday.

Hill UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., celebrates the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The Pentecost offering will be received the next two weeks. The local portion will benefit the Triennium youth trip.

Session meets at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

mars UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will celebrate Communion at both services Sunday. Graduates will be honored with refreshments following the 11 a.m. service.

There will be a VBS meeting at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in the board room. Everyone helping with VBS is asked to attend.

The food bank collection will also be taken Sunday. Nonperishables are needed.

North WASHINGTON

North Washington Presbyterian Church, 714 Fairview Road, North Washington, will have combined 9:30 a.m. Sunday worship services with Concord Church, 673 Hooker Road, West Sunbury, at Concord Church during June.

There will be a Christian education and vacation Bible school meeting at 6 p.m. Friday at Concord Church.

Old Union PRESBYTERIAN

The Women’s Association of Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will honor college graduates with a gift to the water project given in their names. Graduates will be recognized at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Old Union will have its second annual car show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday with a blessing of the vehicles at noon.

ORCHARD HILL BUTLER COUNTY

Orchard Hill Butler County will begin a “Christianity versus Culture: Hot topics that Christians are hesitant to discuss” series from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at 107 Staley Ave. in the Fellowship Hall. Childcare will be provided. The topic is “God’s view of sexuality in today’s culture” looking at living together before marriage, divorce and remarriage, homosexuality and pornography.

Saint Andrews UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will recognize high school and college graduates during Sunday’s worship service.

Evening Bible study resumes at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the church library.

St. John’s Lutheran

St. John’s Lutheran Church at 100 Main St. in Connoquenessing celebrates Holy Communion during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The Cause of the Month for June is the Connoquenessing Meals on Wheels.

St. John’s is to supply desserts for the weeks of June 17 and June 24. Help by completing the sign-up sheet with dessert donations.

St. Luke’s Lutheran

The outreach ministry of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will lead the 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday worship services at Elmcroft Assisted Living, 100 Bella Drive, Saxonburg.

First Communion instruction is at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the youth room for the next class and their parents.

The Generations Choir will meet at 6 m, June 6, at the home of Judy Moser for a picnic and short rehearsal. Take a dish to share.

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., has changed the Saturday worship service to 5 p.m.

There will be 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Sunday worship services.

Adult Sunday school is at 9 a.m.

Children are welcome to take part in the 10:15 a.m. Sunday Children’s Church.

There is no Kid’s Sunday school for the summer

Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will have the property work day starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

The BALM Men’s ministry breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at First English Church, 241 N. Main St.

The Christian Ed. ministry will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Youth Bible study will be at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at Cummings on Main Street.
