Reception set Wednesday for art show in Cranberry

An exhibit of artwork by Duane Cacali opens with a reception Wednesday in the Back Hall Gallery in Cranberry Township.

CRANBERRY TWP — Cranberry Artists Network founding member emeritus Duane Cacali is showing his work in the Back Hall Gallery for the month of June.

An opening reception is planned for 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the gallery in the Cranberry Township Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road.

The show will be on display through June 30.

Cacali said he uses an assortment of mediums to paint or draw traditional artworks. He is also delving into digital art.

“Working with digital art has given me a fantastic reservoir of creativity that enables me to make art that is extraordinary,” Cacali said. “I use vibrant color and geometric form in some of my paintings. While in other paintings there is a more natural and realistic style.“I am always looking for new ways to create unique pieces of art that will attract the viewers' eye. I always ask myself, 'What am I going to create next?'”The artwork can be viewed whenever the municipal center is open. Visit www.cranberryartistsnetwork.com.
