U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant Damian Herbert II recently transferred to Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska, where he will be an instructor in F-22 weapons systems.
A 2008 Knoch High School graduate, Herbert is the son of James and Marie Brandon of Penn Township. His grandparents are Joe and Pat Domachowski of Butler, Carol Herbert of Carnegie, and Roy and Barbara Brandon of Butler.
Herbert was the recipient of the Billy Mitchell Award in the Civil Air Patrol before joining the Air Force in 2008. His military decorations include the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal and Longevity Service with one oak leaf cluster.
Herbert lives with his wife, Ashley, and 4 children at Elmendorf Air Force Base.
