SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University baseball players Joe Campagna and Colin Cain have been named to the NCAA Division II All-Atlantic Region team.

Campagna, a senior shortstop, hit .366 with 34 runs, 10 homers and 42 RBI this season. Cain, a freshman utility player, hit .349 with 15 runs, five homers and 23 RBI.

Both players made second team.

Cohen, Meredith earn PSAC honors

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University junior women’s tennis player Lacey Cohen has been named PSAC West Athlete of the Year in the sport.

Matt Meredith has been named PSAC West Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year.

Meredith earned Coach of the Year honors for the sixth time in his career. SRU was 16-9 this season — its most wins since 2009 — and 6-0 in the PSAC West.

Cohen was a combined 37-21 in singles and doubles, 9-1 in PSAC West matches. Cohen and Rock teammates Olivia Warner, Viola Lugmayr and Lois Page made first team All-PSAC West.
