Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., hosts a spring film series “Presenter's Favorites” featuring the film “Shoplifters” at 6 p.m. Friday. The film is about a dysfunctional band of outsiders united by fierce loyalty and a penchant for petty theft. Admission is free though donations are accepted and reservations are required for the films. Maridon hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Museum admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children under 8 accompanied by an adult. Guided tours are available with advanced notice for no extra charge. Butler County Historical Society presents the “Echoes from Our Past Historic Cemetery Walk,” featuring six actors portraying people from the area's past, at 2 p.m. May 18 and 19 at the grounds of the North Side Cemetery, 1002 N. Main St. Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for students ages 10 to 21. Visit the society office at the Sen. Walter Lowrie House, 123 W. Diamond St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays. The office will also be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 10 and 17. Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village, Avella, Washington County, will open Saturday for the season. Throughout May, Meadowcroft is open from noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, Meadowcroft will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $15 for adults, $14 for senior citizens, and $7 for students and children ages 6 to 17.
