MIDDLESEX TWP — A 23-year-old township man was arrested Monday for allegedly selling marijuana and cocaine to a police informant.

A search of Colton E. McCaffrey's home on Truver Road earlier this month also turned up drugs and other contraband, authorities said.

District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned McCaffrey on three felony charges each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and criminal use of a communication facility.

Additionally, he was arraigned on four misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.

The Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics filed the case in the investigation, which used an informant to conduct three controlled drug buys with McCaffrey, according to charging documents.

The defendant is accused of selling about four ounces of marijuana for $660 March 15 at his home; selling one-quarter ounce of cocaine for $500 March 27 at a housing development in Middlesex Township; and selling about two ounces of marijuana for $400 April 2 at his home.

Investigators subsequently obtained a search warrant for McCaffrey's home. The warrant was served April 3.

Seized in the search, documents said, was suspected cocaine and marijuana as well as THC wax and THC oil cartridges.

Also allegedly found were drug-packaging materials, a digital scale and other contraband. Documents noted that agents also turned up two handguns and a rifle, magazines and ammunition.

McCaffrey's preliminary hearing is scheduled May 8 at the Haggerty's office in Saxonburg. His attorney, Ryan Tutera of Pittsburgh, declined to comment Monday.
