Slippery Rock girls win at Hermitage

HERMITAGE — Maryann Ackerman set a school record by tossing the javelin 147 feet, 5 inches Saturday as Slippery Rock's girls track and field team won the Hermitage Invitational.

The Rockets tallied 110 points to runner-up Hickory's 88.

Ackerman also won the shot put. Anna Kadlubek won the 100 and 200 meters, Emily Sarver the triple jump.

Following are all of the Slippery Rock athletes who placed in the meet.

Girls

1st place: Anna Kadlubek (100 meters) 12.70, (200 meters) 26.94; Maryann Ackerman (shot put) 36-1.5, (javelin) 147-5; Emily Sarver (triple jump) 33-3.5

2nd place: Maryann Ackerman (discus) 112-9; 4x800 relay (Michaela Roth, Amanda Lewis, Harley Pflugh, Ashley Shea) 10:48.11

3rd place: Alyssa Damagro (discus) 108-10; 4x100 relay (Sierra Nagy, Ashley Shea, Tessa McHattie, Anna Kadlubek) 52.20

4th place: Ashley Shea (800 meters) 2:32.29

5th place: Kira Bellis (100 hurdles) 17.08, (long jump) 14-10.75; 4x400 relay (Ashley Shea, Kira Bellis, Michalea Roth, Anna Kadlubek) 4:23.72; Gianna Bedel (high jump) 5-0

7th place: Sierra Nagy (100 meters) 13.38

8th place: Emily Sarver (long jump) 14-7.5; Michalea Roth (400 meters) 1:05.11

3rd place: Gordon Baker (high jump) 6-1

4th place: Sean Northcott (shot put) 50-6.5, (javelin) 148-3
