Monday — Suellen M. Leitch, 23, of Butler Township was arraigned on drug charges stemming from an incident last month at the Butler Public Library on North McKean Street.Police said they were called to the library around 3:45 p.m. March 28 for an intoxicated woman. Officers found Leitch, who appeared impaired, according to court documents.A search of her coat allegedly turned up two stamp bags of suspected heroin, a syringe and spoon.Leitch was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness. She was released on her own recognizance following arraignment.1:21 a.m. Friday — Shauna M. Cress, 33, of Butler was allegedly caught with drug contraband following a traffic stop on the 300 block of First Street. Police made the stop after they got a call for a suspicious vehicle.Cress, who was a passenger, turned over a bag that contained three syringes, a tourniquet and Chore Boy copper scrubber, according to court documents.She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.4:30 a.m. April 11 — Ginger T. Kilroy, 40, was arrested after police assisted a state parole agent's check of her home on Hallet Street. She was allegedly found with five buprenorphine/naloxone film strips in her purse.Police said she did not have a prescription for the drugs. Officers also found a digital scale in the house. She is charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.She was taken to the Butler County Prison for a parole violation.

11:10 a.m. Friday — Vehicles driven by David Kovac, 42, of Slippery Rock and Blake Myers, 24, of Butler collided at Whitestown and South Eberhart roads.No one was injured, but both vehicles had to be towed. Police cited Kovac for running a red light.6:06 p.m. April 9 — A car driven by Carrie E. Roxbury, 22, of Prospect rear-ended a vehicle on Route 68. The other driver, Jennifer Ladue, 46, of Butler, was stopped.No one was injured, but Roxbury's car had to be towed. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

4:20 p.m. Friday — While waiting in a car for turkeys to cross Valencia Road near Critchlow School Road in Forward Township, Kelly J. Strengari, 46, of Butler was rear-ended by another vehicle in a chain-reaction crash.The accident occurred when a vehicle driven by an unidentified juvenile struck the back of a car driven by Richard E. Walker, 56, of Butler. The impact forced Walker's vehicle into Strengari's car. No injuries were report. The juvenile's vehicle had to be towed.5:37 p.m. April 9 — A car driven by Allison L. Schrey, 20, of Evans City struck the back of another car on Route 68 just east of Brandywine Boulevard in Connoquenessing Township.The other driver, Daniel L. Hedge, 30, of Kittanning, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with a possible injury, according to a police report. Police cited Schrey for following too closely to another vehicle.
