Debbie Horton’s Branson on the Road show is planned for Saturday at the Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave., Lyndora. Doors open at 6 p.m. followed by a dinner buffet at 7 p.m. and music at 8 p.m. The show features costumes, comedy and classic country, bluegrass, rockabilly and gospel music. In addition to Horton, performers include Adam Pope, Preston Walden and Lisa Horngren. Horton claims to hold the distinction of being the only woman to have played lead guitar for Johnny Cash. Dennis McCurdy & The Carpenter Ants, an Americana, R&B and gospel group, will have a CD release party at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Bottlebrush Gallery & Center for the Arts, 539 Main St., Harmony.
Butler-based country folk band Appalachian Doom Gospel will give a benefit show for area resident Dana Hare, who was recently diagnosed with stage four colon, liver, and lung cancer. The show on April 27 will also feature performances by Good Ole Ernie, Bonnie and The Mere Mortals, and Tom Pappas. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the music will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Butler Art Center, 344 S. Main St. Admission is $10, and all proceeds will benefit Hare and her family.

Handel’s Messiah will be performed at 3 p.m. Saturday by the Pittsburgh Camerata at Shadyside Presbyterian Church, 5121 Westminster Place. Tickets are available at www.pittsburghcamerata.org or at the door if available.
