Moniteau rides early barrage to win

SR's Ackerman breaks her record again

Moniteau's baseball team scored two runs in each of the first three innings en route to a 7-5 road victory against Clarion Tuesday afternoon.

Jared Lominski had three hits and three RBI in the win.

Chance Nagy worked four innings for the victory.

Maryann Ackerman broke her own record in the javelin for the second consecutive meet with a throw of 144 feet, 10 inches as the Slippery Rock girls beat Grove City 105-45.

Nathan Sespico had 18 kills and Sam Lambermont 12 as Butler came from behind to win at North Hills, 3-2. Match scores were 18-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Kaleb Wojnar had 16 assists and Jordan Ray 20 assists for the Golden Tornado (4-3, 3-2), who travel to McDowell Friday.
