Three members of the Butler Farm Show Junior Board recently attended the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs convention in Hershey and were chosen to help conduct an educational session.

Robin Peters, board president; Mitchell Kerr, vice president; and MaKayla King, secretary, assisted in conducting a workshop on roles and the importance of junior fair boards and answered questions. Kerr was recognized as Outstanding Young Fair Person of the Year in Zone 1, which encompasses Northwestern Pennsylvania.

The board also compiled a scrapbook of the 2018 Butler Farm Show and displayed it in the exhibits area. The 11-member Butler Farm Show Junior Board assists the board of directors and serves on active committees to learn about fair operations to prepare them to run the farm show in the future.
