SRU baseball drops DH
GREENSBURG — The Slippery Rock University baseball remained in a funk Saturday, dropping a doubleheader at Seton Hill by scores of 4-3 in 11 innings and 5-3.
The Rock (6-11, 0-6) is winless in PSAC West play. Sunday's scheduled twinbill at Critchfield Park was moved to 2 p.m. Monday due to inclement weather.
Frank Jezioro had four hits for SRU Saturday, including a double, home run and three RBI. Abraham Mow also homered and had two RBI.
Jezioro is riding a seven-game hitting streak.
Butler graduate Wyatt Daugherty was the hard-luck loser in the first game, pitching the final 3.2 innings. Knoch graduate Chris Law singled and scored the winning run for Seton Hill in the 11th.
Starting pitcher Ryan Tapp worked 5.2 innings for The Rock in taking the loss in the nightcap.
