BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, has Chrisann Green providing the music Sunday.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, has Lenten study at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

The confirmation class leaves at 8:30 a.m. Friday to visit the United Methodist Conference Center. For more information, contact Cherie Loomis, youth director.

Sunday the Lenten-Easter children’s item collection is a children’s book.

There will be a potluck luncheon at noon Sunday in Oz Hall. Take a dish to share. Service items will be provided.

The youth group meets at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Easter flower orders are due April 7.

Volunteer day at St. Vincent De Paul Food Cupboard is 8 a.m. Monday.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., has the “Noisy Offering” of loose change during the 11 a.m. Sunday service. The offering helps to support the church’s missionary in the Philippines, Rebecca Lawson.

The People for Peace study group will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday in the assembly room.

Pastor John Silbert will lead the Seekers topical discussion group at 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the assembly room.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., has 9:30 a.m. Sunday school followed by a 10:30 a.m. worship service.

The deacons will meet after the service.

The AA Group meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WW (Weight Watchers) meets at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. April 4 and 8:30 a.m. April 5.

FIRST BAPTIST

The Women’s Missionary Fellowship meets 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St.

The church will have a family game night at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Baptist Youth Center. Take a dish to share, a 2-liter bottle of soda and a favorite game.

Sunday’s service schedule begins at 9:45 a.m. with Sunday school classes followed by an 11 a.m. worship service. There will also be a 6 p.m. Sunday worship service.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

Pastor Peter Asplin, assistant to the bishop, will be the preacher at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St. Following worship, Pastor Asplin and Pastor Kimberly vanDriel will lead a workshop on conflict transformation for Christians. Lunch will be provided for those who have signed up for this session.

The Butler Area Lutheran Ministries Wednesday Lenten service will be at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Connoquenessing

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St. celebrates Holy Communion at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Butler Relay for Life meets at 6 p.m. Monday at the church social hall.

Members and friends of Grace @ Calvary are invited to the BALM midweek Lenten gathering at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Connoquenessing, for worship and discussion. Dessert will be served afterward during fellowship time.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Tom Kifer and Michelle Huff provide the music at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Sunday’s loose plate offering at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., benefits the deacons’ ministry. A fifth Sunday luncheon featuring a baked potato bar will follow worship.

A service of wholeness will be at 1 p.m. Sunday for a church family.

Donations of cookies, fruit and vegetable trays are needed for Wednesday Night Kids’ Club.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., continues the Lenten lunches at noon Friday with speaker Karl Kennedy.

Sunday worship services will be at 8:30 and 11 a.m.

There will be a VBS meeting for all volunteers at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in the board room.

The women’s Bible study will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the board room.

GriefShare will continue at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the board room

ORCHARD HILL BUTLER COUNTY

Orchard Hill Butler County meets at 107 Staley Ave.

Orchard Hill will have a Life Group Connect after the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service in the Fellowship Hall where people will have an opportunity get involved in life groups/Bible studies that meet throughout the week.

SPRINGDALE LUTHERAN

Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, has the Rev. Dennis Hindman leading the 11 a.m. Sunday service.

The church will be open 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and April 4 to receive donations for the rummage sale that starts at 9 a.m. April 5. Volunteers and baked goods are needed.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, celebrates Communion at the 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday services. Sunday School for all ages is at 9:30 a.m.

St. Luke’s will host the Community Lenten services at noon and 7 p.m. Wednesday. A light lunch will follow the noon service and refreshments will be offered after the 7 p.m. service.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will have a 6 p.m. Saturday worship service and an 8 a.m. and a 10:15 a.m. Sunday worship service. Sunday school for all ages is at 9 a.m.

Confirmation will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

3T meets at 9 a.m. Monday.

Bell choir practice is at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Children’s hour meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The choir practices at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Community Lenten service is at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, installs council members and officers at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday worship services.

Mutual ministry meets after the 11 a.m. Sunday service.

Youth Bible study will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Cummings Candy & Coffee, 146 N. Main St.

Christian Ed. meets at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

There will be a noon Wednesday Lent worship service. The 7 p.m. Wednesday Lent service is at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing.

The monthly women’s Bible study will be at 10 a.m. April 4.

VALENCIA PRESBYTERIAN

The quilting group of Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., meets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Take a lunch and quilting project.
