KC grad Pennington sets another record
LEXINGTON, Va. — Karns City graduate Rebecca Pennington, a freshman distance runner for Chatham University who set indoor track records there, broke the school record in the outdoor 5.000 meters over the weekend.
Pennington ran the event in 17 minutes, 55.79 seconds to break the record in her first outdoor meet of the season. She won the event at the meet as well.
