Symphony will host Dance with Celebrities event as new fundraiser
The Butler County Symphony Association will hold a new fundraiser called Dance with Butler County Celebrities on May 11 at the Butler Days Inn.
Eight Butler County celebrities will be paired up with professional ballroom dancers, who will each choreograph a two minute routine.
The Butler County celebrities who will be dancing include: ophthalmologist Dr. Dean Balouris; Butler County Commissioner Kevin Boozel; Cathy Glasgow, president of Butler County Ford; Amanda Gold, vice president of the Butler Education Association and Butler School District teacher; Mike Manipole, vice chairman of the Cranberry Township supervisors and Seneca Valley School District teacher; Nick Neupauer, president of Butler County Community College; Butler County Commissioner Leslie Osche, and Tammy Schuey, assistant general manager of the Butler Eagle.
Dance teams will compete for the judges’ award and a people’s choice award. The judges’ award will be named in honor of Ida Findley, a longtime supporter of the symphony.
Attendees will be offered a group dance lesson while the votes are tallied.
