Middle/High School artists receive awards

“The Fallen, the Falling” by Teressa Wesley from Mars High School won first place in the painting category of the Middle/High School Art Show at the Butler Art Center.

Awards for work in the Middle/High School Art Show were presented Friday at the Butler Art Center.

Six high schools are participating with more than 300 individual pieces of artwork.

Best in Show was awarded to Kelsey Gianfrancesco for her painting “Bubbly.”

The Middle/High School Art Show continues through March 16 at the Butler Art Center, 344 S. Main St.

The center is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Admission is free.
