[naviga:h3]Music society gives PSO talk[/naviga:h3]

Opus I Music Society is studying “Musicians of Western Pennsylvania” this year and will continue with a program “All About the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra,” presented by Kathy Csellar, on Monday at LifePointe Alliance Church, Route 228 in Adams Township.

The program will include a history plus the sounds of the orchestra.

Refreshments start at 9:30 a.m. with the program to follow in the church music room.

Members and visitors may attend.

[naviga:h3]C.A.N. artists host reception[/naviga:h3]

The Cranberry Artists Network hosts “Seeing in a New Light” through April 15 in the main lobby of the Cranberry Township Municipal Center.

The show will have a public reception including refreshments and awards from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The pieces in the exhibit as well as those receiving awards have been selected by Pittsburgh artist Frank Webb.

Network member Colleen Tittiger will display her artwork in the Back Hall Gallery through March 31, while the “Seeing in a New Light” exhibit takes place in the main lobby at the municipal center, 2525 Rochester Road.

All the artwork can be viewed whenever the municipal center is open.

[naviga:h3]‘Mumberger’ play continues [/naviga:h3]

The U.S. premiere of “Mumberger,” a play by former Butler resident Sarah Kosar, is running through March 16 on the Carnegie Stage, 25 W. Main St., Carnegie.

In her surreal play about grief, parenting, and alternative meat, Kosar asks how far we can be pushed by love and obligation.

Tickets are $5 to $35. More information is available at sarahkosar.net.
