Susan “Sue” Streitman, 97, of Butler died Wednesday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 1, 1921, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Michael Pallo and Mary (Samko) Pallo.

Sue was retired from Pennsylvania Labor & Industry, working at the Butler Unemployment Compensation Office. Before that, she had worked at the Franklin Glass Corporation and also the Standard Motor Co.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.

She is survived by two nieces and several great-nieces, great nephews, great-great-nieces and great- great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Regis S. Streitman, whom she married Feb. 19, 1948, and who died July 13, 2012; five brothers; and three sisters.
