CONNOQUENESSING TWP — Local dignitaries and VIPs from the auto industry will join Rob Cochran on Thursday for the official opening of #1 Cochran’s new, multimillion-dollar Subaru dealership.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with remarks from Subaru of America President and CEO Tom Doll and #1 Cochran President and CEO Rob Cochran.

A ribbon cutting will follow from 6 to 6:30 p.m.

SLIPPERY ROCK — A report showed gains in the number of graduate and out-of-state students attending Slippery Rock University.

Overall, the university enrolled 8,275 students for the spring 2019 semester, a decrease of 93 students from the previous year.

Graduate student headcount increased by 90 students to 1,260 this year while undergraduate headcount decreased by 183 students to 7,015.

Total in-state enrollment decreased by 88 students while total out-of-state enrollment increased by six students.

Credit hours generated totaled 111,626.6, reflecting a decrease of 1,279.9 hours from last year.
