Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will host “A Sweet Stroll Through Maple History,” about how sap becomes syrup, at 2 p.m. March 3. No registration is needed for this free program. “Step Into Snowshoes” continues through February when conditions are suitable. Snowshoes are available to borrow for free and use within the park on a first-come, first-served basis from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and on snowy Saturdays. One person in the party must be at least 18 and possess a valid driver’s license. Call 724-794-6011 to check snow depth and trail conditions.

Moraine State Park is partnering with the Pa. Fish and Boat Commission to hold a women’s intro to fly fishing program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 23 at the State Park Region 2 conference room, 195 Park Road. The fishing license requirement is waived for participants 16 and older. Registration is required in advance, and space is limited. Deadline is 4 p.m. March 10.
