Sfanos paces Mars' comeback victory

Scores 20 as Planets rally past Armstrong

Mihali Sfanos hit six 3-pointers and scored a game-high 20 points to help the Mars boys basketball team overcome a slow start in a 73-42 win over Armstrong Tuesday night.

Andrew Recchia and Khori Fusco each added 12 points and Michael Carmody pitched in 10 more for the Planets.

Mars was down 15-7 after the first quarter but outscored Armstrong 53-18 in the next 16 minutes to put the game far out of reach.

Freeport 62, Mt Pleasant 54 — Jalen Brown stole the show for Freeport, scoring 29 points as the Yellowjackets defeated Mt. Pleasant at home. Aiden Skradski collected 11 points as the Yellowjackets got their 10th win of the season.

Alex Colflesh and Case Haberstroh both had a goal and assist, but Freeport dropped a 12-3 decision to West Allegheny recently.

Andrew Arbanan, Alec Stamm, Aidan Ketterer, Tyler Leary, Taryn Thompson and Max Wertz all shot 100's as Butler defeated Penn Trafford 798-66x to 786-42.
