SRU splits hoop games
SLIPPERY ROCK — John Warren II knocked down a pair of 3-pointers in overtime Wednesday night as the Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team defeated Seton Hill, 71-67, at Morrow Field House.
The Rock, 4-1 in PSAC play, won its fifth straight game after rallying from a five-point deficit in the final 3:47 of regulation.
Micah Hill had 23 points and 14 rebounds for SRU.
The Rock women (6-5, 4-1) dropped a 73-65 decision to Seton Hill. Morgan Henderson had 22 rebounds for SRU, second most in a single game in team history.
Ciara Patterson had 16 points for SRU, Karns City graduate LeeAnn Gibson chipping in with 10.
