BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, has Gwen Atkinson providing music at the Sunday worship service.

CONCORD PRESBYTERIAN

Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, West Sunbury, has new hours starting Sunday. Sunday school will be at 9:45 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. worship service.

EAST BUTLER

East Butler Presbyterian Church, Ninth and Randolph streets, East Butler, hosts a bluegrass/gospel jam at 7 p.m. Sunday. Local musicians are invited to bring instruments and share in music making. Snacks are also welcome. For more information, contact the Rev. Mary Kitchen at 412-266-0930.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., will have Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. worship service led by the Rev. Mary Kitchen.

The deacons will meet after the worship service.

During the week, Weight Watchers will meet at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday and at 10 a.m. Jan. 10 and at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 12.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., has canceled Thursday's Ladies Night Out.

The men of Grace are invited to the BALM Gathering of Men at 8 a.m. Saturday at Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, for breakfast, fellowship time and conversation.

Volunteers from Grace @ Calvary will serve the community dinner at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., Monday. Volunteers should be at First English at 4 p.m. to help set up and serve dinner which starts at 5 p.m.

Butler Relay for Life will hold its meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the social hall. Grace's relay team, Marty's Marchers, is invited.

The GLOW planning team meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The finance committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and the worship and music committee meets at 7 p.m.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Michelle Huff will provide the music at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship serviced.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., celebrates the sacrament of the Lord's Supper during Sunday worship.

Hill Quilters meet at 9 a.m. Friday.

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will ordain and install new officers during the worship service this week.

RIDER LUTHERAN CHURCH

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, hosts the men's BALM breakfast at 8 a.m. Saturday.

The steering committee meets after the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John's Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., celebrates Holy Communion during the Epiphany of Our Lord Sunday worship service.

The Cause of the Month is the Connoquenessing Meals on Wheels program.

ST. JOHN'S UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

St. John's United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., Evans City, celebrates Holy Communion during the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service. A consistory meeting will follow the worship service.

Wednesday, the worship committee will meet at 4 p.m., the praise team practices at 6 p.m. and the choir practices at 7 p.m.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

Choir rehearsal at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, resumes Thursday.

Epiphany will be celebrated at the 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship services.

The outreach ministry leads the 2 p.m. Sunday worship service at Elmcroft, 100 Bella Drive, Saxonburg.

Everyone is invited to Daniel Plan Phase 2 at 6 p.m. Monday in Centennial Hall. Phase 1 is not a prerequisite.

Prayer Circle resumes at noon Tuesday.

The church/community prayer group meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the youth room.

The middle school youth will kick off the year at 5 p.m. Jan 10.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will have a contemporary service at all worship services this weekend: 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday.

The BALM men's ministry breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury.

The BALM young adult group will meet at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Pig Iron Works in Cranberry Township.

The youth ministry team will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The stewardship ministry team will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The executive committee will meet 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, followed by the outreach committee at 6:30 p.m.

VALENCIA PRESBYTERIAN

Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., holds a combined elder/deacon training session from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church. Officers are encouraged to attend.

Installation of newly elected officers will be at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service. Members of the congregation are invited to stay after worship Sunday to assist the deacons in undecorating the church.
