Butler Mayor Ben Smith said parking at metered spaces on streets will be free from Dec. 16 through Jan. 1 for the holidays.

[naviga:h3]Butler Township disposes leaves[/naviga:h3]

Butler Township residents can dispose of leaves and yard debris by taking it to a roll-off bin at the municipal building through Dec. 20.

Residents should place their leaves in the biodegradable bags they use during the summer. The bin is located near the police department entrance to the building.

[naviga:h3]Pyle hosts open house[/naviga:h3]

State Rep. Jeff Pyle, R-60th, is hosting his annual Legislative Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at his Sarver district office.

The open house gives local residents and their families an opportunity to meet Pyle and his district office staff and receive information about the state-related services he can provide for them.

The Sarver district office is at 612 S. Pike Road, Sarver.
