Nov. 15 — A Clarion County man was charged with being more than twice the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a traffic stop earlier in the month on Route 8 at Old Plank Road.
Police said William H. Brink, 47, of East Brady was stopped around 3:55 p.m. Nov. 5 while an officer was conducting a license plate check.
Brink submitted to a portable breath test device that allegedly indicated he had alcohol in his system. He subsequently failed field sobriety testing, according to court documents.
He was taken to the Butler police station for a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.163 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.
Dean is charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.
