Saxonburg native stars again in CLO's musical 'Christmas Carol'

Allison Cahill, a Saxonburg native, will reprise her role as the Ghost of Christmas Past in this year's “A Musical Christmas Carol” for the Pittsburgh CLO.

PITTSBURGH — Saxonburg native Allison Cahill returns for a fourth season to Pittsburgh CLO’s “A Musical Christmas Carol.”

She will be reprising her role as the Ghost of Christmas Past. She will also portray a charity worker and the character Peg.

Cahill has performed internationally with the Pittsburgh Public Theater, West Virginia Public, Pittsburgh Playhouse, St. Vincent College, Off The Wall Theatre and Terra Nova Theatre Company.

Richard Thomas of “The Waltons” will have the role of Ebenezer Scrooge.

Thomas received a Tony Award nomination for his most recent appearance on Broadway in “The Little Foxes.” His other Broadway appearances include “You Can’t Take It With You” and “The Fifth of July.

On television, he created the roles of John-Boy on “The Waltons” for which he won an Emmy Award and agent Frank Gaad on “The Americans.”

“A Musical Christmas Carol” will be presented from Dec. 7 to 23 at the Byham Theater, 101 Sixth St., Pittsburgh.
