Jerseys of Steelers greats on display
PITTSBURGH — A display of a dozen game-worn Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys will open to the public on Friday.
Steelers legend Franco Harris was to be on hand Thursday to help unveil the Tull collection, which will be added to the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum's football exhibition.
The jerseys include those of Hall of Famers such as Harris, Terry Bradshaw, Mel Blount, Jack Ham, Jack Lambert, John Stallworth, and Rod Woodson. Newer jerseys in the collection are those of James Harrison, Brett Keisel, Hines Ward and Ben Roethlisberger.
The artifacts join Pittsburgh items already on display in the museum's football exhibit, including Franco Harris' Immaculate Reception cleats and Super Bowl IX ring and a “Mean” Joe Greene game-worn jersey.
The jerseys are on loan from Thomas and Alba Tull.
Thomas Tull is the founder, chairman and CEO of Tulco, and part of the Steelers ownership group.
